I underestimated this from cask as there is excellent purity of expression on the nose with a floral red fruit quality followed by remarkably detailed flavors of solid intensity if not necessarily great density with a purity and length that are impressive

this blend of 72% Merlot

and it was disgorged in February 2023

Jean-Marc Pavelot, Savigny Beaune Dominode Vintage:2018 Best from 2026 through 2042(two thirds of the vines are between 70 and 80 years of age and the remaining vines are approximately 20+ years old). A markedly spicy nose consists of dark currant, violet and earth nuances where a note of tea can be discerned. There is a lovely inner mouth perfume to the refined, velvety and caressing yet quite serious and tautly muscular flavors that also flash plenty of minerality on the powerful finish that exhibits excellent length.
