This is a 1950-60's-era Attitude Gyro Horizon Indicator as used in early versions of the US Navy/Marine Corps Jet Fighter/Attack Aircraft Douglas A4D-1 Skyhawk
which also contains a scale with numerals and markings printed upon the glass
but is stiff and requires some TLC
D versions as shown in the B-52 Flight Manual dated 1966
Compass (Busola) Magnetic Direct Reading, PZL Type 1 F-86 The Altitude Selector Switch allowedHere is a Direct Reading Magnetic Compass (Busola), Type 1, made by, or for, the Polish aircraft manufacturer PZL (Pastwowe Zakady Lotnicze). The compass fluid is present and the compass card swings freely. Accuracy seems to be slightly off, but could probably be recalibrated with the compensator screws. Measures ~2. 5 inches diameter and ~2 inches deep.
