The handle is 10 oz Dublin Olde English vegetable tanned leather from the legendary Horween tannery in Chicago. Choose from a red, forest green or black leash. The handle is attached to the body of the lead by a single loop and there is a mountaineering D ring at the junction so that you can attach things or throw the leash over your shoulder and hook it to your bolt snap if your dog is off leash.
