Chan Continuous, well preserved clastic depositional units south of the Book Cliffs escarpment of east central Utah offer exceptional exposures of ancient deltaic, shoreline, shelf and offshore rocks. A stratigraphic and sedimentologic context for these Cretaceous units is an important tool in exploration for coal, oil, and gas, and for recognition of sand body geometries in the subsurface. This study concentrates on the genetic relationships of
