He was born 8 of March 1829 as a second soon of Nakagawa Katsutsugu. His younger brother was Nakagawa Shoami Katsuyoshi. Issho moved to Edo at 21 and there became a student of Goto Ichij . In 1857 he received part of the name from his master "" and became Nakagawa Issho. He was one of the best students of Goto Ichij and a representative of Ichij School. Died 6 of April 1876. Made
