It was handmade from elm, and due to the age of it, the lacquer has started to wear away, but this only adds to the beauty of this chair. To add to the quality of this piece, it has hand carved detailing throughout that resembles an original Chinese style. It has also adopted a 'yoke' style as it has a winged top.
