This icon is one of the first images of Christ that was developed in the early church and remains to this day a central icon in the Orthodox Church. The Pantocrator icon that is most known and still surviving was written in the 6th century and survived the iconoclasm. The icon now resides in Sinai at St Catherines Monastery. Most notable on the
