While the fluid lines and imperfect, directional symmetry come from the former, the delicate and feminine features along with the two tone construction are key elements of the latter. In 1796, Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to Josphine de Beauharnais with a "toi et moi" ring (featuring a sapphire and a diamond), and the "you
