Students Academic Group (SAGA)
Objective
Using the resources of the Institute of Mental Health, SAGA aims to facilitate the development of individual academic trajectories for each member of the young professional community.
Tasks
- Support the development of academic and practical skills, enhance the quality of pre-graduation professional training in the fields of Psychiatry, Narcology, Psychotherapy, clinical psychology, biomedical statistics, AI methods in Psychiatry, Psycholinguistics & clinical linguistics, and foster aspirations while maintaining motivation for professional self-development and research activity among students and young professionals.
- Facilitate the implementation and promotion of educational and research projects: encourage participation of students and young professionals in competitions (including those with the options to win a grant), and involve them in international, multicenter, and national studies.
- Regularly and timely inform members of the Student Academic Group about relevant professional events, conferences, congresses, specialist meetings in Psychiatry, competitive selections for educational and research projects, as well as grants and scholarships provided by professional organizations and educational institutions in Russia and foreign countries. Additionally, support the issuance of letters of recommendation and appreciation to aid and promote members of the Student Academic Group’s participation in the aforementioned professional events.
- Actively collaborate with mentors and experts from the advisory council of the Institute of Mental Health.
- Develop a professional network to encourage collaboration and interaction in areas of professional interest with specialists engaged in clinical, research, and educational activities related to mental health at the national and international levels, including the development of exchange programs and internships.
