Key tasks and activities of the Department of Diagnosis & Treatment
The Department of Diagnosis and Treatment at the Institute of Mental Health (IMH) implements a comprehensive approach to organizing therapeutic and diagnostic services aimed at meeting the needs for psychiatric, psychotherapeutic assistance, and medical-psychological readaptation:
- focusing on modern standards and clinical recommendations,
- in accordance with medical activity official state licenses, and
- with an individual approach to each of our patients and clients.
We pay special attention to the selection of specialists for our IMH team.
All our staff have:
- the necessary experience in solving mental health problems,
- key professional competencies,
- a high level of qualification in their field,
to help patients cope with mental health challenges and daily well-being issues.

For the convenience of our patients and IMH staff, we are developing:
- comfortable algorithms for booking appointments,
- telemedicine consultations in conditions of necessary confidentiality and secure communication web-channels, in compliance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.
The remote consultation format allows for the prompt resolution of issues such as:
- timely treatment adjustments,
- supportive therapy,
- conducting second-opinion consultations,
- case discussions with specialists from the Institute’s Experts & Advisory Board Council,
regardless of your location, while adhering to clinical recommendations for acute conditions and supervision of complex cases.
Our therapeutic, diagnostic, and medical-psychological readaptation services include:
- individual and family consultations,
- readaptation and support group sessions,
- individual and group psychotherapy,
- medical-psychological support,
- coaching for personal effectiveness and psychosocial readaptation.
We work with the clients of all age groups:
- children and adolescents,
- adults,
- elderly individuals.
We actively collaborate with all the departments of the Multidisciplinary Clinic “Reaviz” of the Medical University “Reaviz,” which allows addressing urgent issues within our institution using the broad diagnostic and therapeutic resources and advantages of the University Clinic:
- consultations with highly qualified physicians working in the majority of somatic medical fields (neurology, endocrinology, cardiology, gynecology, oncology, etc.),
- high-tech diagnostic equipment and therapy methods (the variety of all standard laboratory-instrumental research methods, brain MRI, CT, transcranial magnetic stimulation, etc.).
To implement multidisciplinary approach, we create beneficial and convenient program packages, such as:
- Cardiology, Neurology, and Medical-Psychological ReAdaptation,
- Endocrinology, Eating Disorders, and Medical-Psychological ReAdaptation,
- Dermatology, Cosmetology, Plastic Surgery, and Medical-Psychological ReAdaptation,
- Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Medical-Psychological ReAdaptation,
which contribute to the implementation of an essential integrated approach to the treatment and rehabilitation of our patients (physical health and mental well-being are inseparable).

Our Unique Project is the StartUp of The Medical-Psychological Readaptation Center
Currently under preparation for opening, this center is a result of the collaboration between the team of specialists from the Institute of Mental Health and the Rehabilitation Center of MPC “Reaviz.”
In the conditions of a day hospital and a 24-hour inpatient facilities with individual comfortable rooms for stay, programs for rehabilitation and medical-psychological readaptation will be implemented, such as:
- Asthenia and Chronic Stress,
- Anxiety and Depression,
- Mental Well-Being,
- Balance of Body and Mind,
- Workplace Stress and Personal Effectiveness,
- and more.
Thus, the activities of the Department of Diagnosis and Treatment at the Institute of Mental Health cover a wide range of tasks:
- implementation of outpatient consultations and health condition assessments,
- conducting second-opinion consultations and clinical case discussions with invited experts,
- integration of mental health services into multidisciplinary treatment approach and rehabilitation programs,
- launching the Medical-Psychological Readaptation Center,
- psychoeducation, mental hygiene, coaching for personal effectiveness, and psychosocial well-being.
